Friends Annual Meeting, Monday, June 1, 2009, 7PM --
The Secret World of Bubbles

The annual Meeting of the Friends of the Flint Memorial Library will be held in the Activity Room in the library, on June 1 at 7:00 pm. The meeting will begin with a short business meeting to elect new officers, followed by a program suitable for both adults and children. Children must be at least five years old to attend. Because we expect a crowd, registration for this meeting is required by phoning the library at (978) 664-4942. Friends of the Library will have first preference and may register from May 1 through May 16. After May 16, registration is open to all. If you register and then plans change, please notify the library so someone else can attend.
The program will star "Bubble Artist" Keith Michael Johnson. Mr. Johnson, who has been featured on the Discovery Channel, provides an entertaining and educational program for both adults and children. While creating wonderful bubbles, he shares their scientific secrets. For a preview, you may visit his web site at www.BubbleArtist.com. Come and enjoy a fascinating evening
of soap bubble art with Keith Michael Johnson!

Flint Memorial Library and the Friends are now participating in a program called Amazon Associates. When you purchase anything (anything!) by connecting to Amazon from the home page or the Friends page, Amazon sends the Friends a rebate of approximately 4% of the purchase price. So if you link to Amazon from the library website and buy $100 of sporting goods, jewelry, books, or DVDs the library and Friends would get a rebate of $4.00.
This is an easy way to support the library. Whenever you are buying gifts or something for yourself, try a search on Amazon from the library website first! We thank you.
This money will be used to support library programs, including
programs for children, teens, speakers, museum passes and other
library needs.
