LOOKING FOR A GOOD BOOK? A DVD? A CD?

May is one of the most beautiful  months in New England. It's a busy month with holidays, parades,  graduations, dance recitals and more. Visit the "Photography" display on  the first floor for ideas on capturing these special days. If you can find
any free time, think about checking out one of our "Walking" books. You'll
find ideas for walks or hikes throughout New England.

The third floor fiction display is devoted to "Mother's Day Fiction."
Mothers are also celebrated in our DVD display - "Mothers in Movies." If
you have a favorite book or movie with a "memorable" mother, share the title
with us and we'll try to add it to the display.

To commemorate Memorial Day there are two displays on the first floor. You
will be able to find fiction, biographies of military men and women, and
other works of non-fiction. We'd like to extend a special thank you to all
North Reading residents who have served in any branch of the military.

National Dance Week was April 25 thru May 4 but we'll leave up our dancing
display for the whole month. You'll find DVDs and books about dance and
dancers.

Many North Reading readers have an interest in reading about crime. This
month we offer a display on "Famous Trials."

      DVD REQUESTS

Beginning January 22, 2007 most brand new feature films and television shows on DVD
will no longer be sent to the Flint Memorial Library from other MVLC libraries.  Likewise
the Flint Memorial Library will no longer be shipping its new feature films and television
show to other  MVLC libraries. The titles will become available after six months from the
date on which  they were added.  You will be able to place holds and pick up the titles
here.  You will  also be able to places holds and pick up the titles at the owning library.

This change is part of an effort to increase efficiency in the Interlibrary loan delivery
  service.
