DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

1. When Opal named her dog, Winn-Dixie, it was the first thing that popped into her head.  If you have a pet, how did you decide on a name?  What is the name of your pet?

2. Opal asks her father for ten things about her mother.  What would you list as ten good things about the library?  How about ten good things about North Reading?

3. What is Winn-Dixie afraid of?  Are you afraid of anything special?  How do you manage your fear?

4. Miss Fanny's father made Litmus Lozenges.  What do you think a Litmus Lozenge looks like?  How does it taste?
